The front door

A video door station can cover the front approach without a camera on the facade. It can be supplied in matte graphite, aged bronze, brushed brass or satin steel to sit with period door hardware. See architectural security for the finishes.

For a Sydney home with 5 to 8 cameras and an alarm, installed, including GST. Period homes often sit toward the top of a range because cable routes take more care. Your proposal gives a fixed price after the assessment.

Do I need council approval?
It depends on the property and the council. If your home is a heritage item or in a heritage conservation area, visible changes to the street front may need consent. We check during the assessment and design to keep visible change to a minimum.
Will it damage plaster or cornices?
We plan routes to avoid it, and use wireless sensors where a cable would mark original finishes. Any unavoidable penetration is agreed with you first.
Can cameras stay off the facade?
Often, yes: verandah ceilings, eaves, side passages and the rear can cover the approaches, with a video door station at the front entry.
